What we're about Mobfest is Africas first made for mobile content platform. With the current explosion of mobile and new media innovation, Mobfest aims to claim a space in South Africa where business and content creators can transact, consumers can be entertained, and local talent can showcase their wares creating for the mobile screen. In a society increasingly dependent on cellular handsets for both communication and entertainment, Mobfest is set to become the premium mobile content hub for identifying, exposing and rewarding quality mobile content and its creators. We're launching our first 'channel', a text/sms based channel, fiction for phones, now there's a Novel Idea. You can get short stories SMS'd to you daily for a month from top South African authors. Starting 7th July 2008 for 30 days, you also get to choose your favourite "mobilist" and the winner will be announced in August. We'll have interviews with authors, exciting mobile writing news and you can start getting fiction direct to your phone!
